PURPOSE
This course is designed to provide users, developers, and administrators an in-depth look at some of the more advanced features of DB2 Web Query. This course will take users through various conversion techniques to move existing reporting into DB2 Web Query. Besides conversion, the use of advanced techniques including dashboards and automated report distribution will be covered.
Students will review the integration of Microsoft Excel and SQL Server into DB2 Web Query. Finally, students will have a chance to review and correct performance related issues in DB2 Web Query.
AUDIENCE
This course is designed for advanced developers that are tasked to utilize DB2 Web Query for reporting needs.
While some administration tasks are discussed, the focus of the course is report development.
PREREQUISITES
OD04 – DB2 Web Query: Getting Started
Students should have an understanding of IBM i operating system and DB2 on i concepts.
Students should have basic DB2 Web Query InfoAssistant and DB2 Web Query Developer Workbench skills.
Completing chapters 1 – 15 of the DB2 Web Query for i Version 2.1 Implementation Guide Redbooks would provide this foundation.
